| Wow it has been a while since I last wrote in this baby. I really don't know where to start. Given the late hour, how about I give a brief rundown of what has went on. Are you ready? Here we go: - Applied to Grad Schools. The big three: WVU, Virginia Tech, Penn State
- Was immediately denied admission to Penn State (No suprise there)
- Recieved a phone call from the program director of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources at WVU, offering me admission to WVU along with a Graduate Assistantship, this was late March, by the way
- Received a letter from Virginia Tech offering admission, called the Hospitality Department Head, said they could not offer financial aid. That made up my mind.
- Accepted WVU's offer
- Found an apartment in Morgantown in May
- Lost above mentioned apartment (VERY long story)
- Worked at Super 8 until end of July
- Lived on parents' couch for two weeks in August while trying to find another place in Morgantown,
- Finally moved into apartment August 16
- August 18: My mom's birthday (who as a present to herself, got a tatoo)
- August 20: Began classes as a WVU Grad Student
Yeah so things were a little crazy these past few months, but I'm SO happy things worked out and that I got to be here. All is going well so far, I'm making my way around the Morg' pretty good, although I must say I walked more my first day of class here than I did in four years at Concord. I guess they're trying to put a fat kid into shape. Anyhoo I guess that's it for now, I'm sure when I write again I'll probably be sobbing uncontrollably over all the stuff I have to do for class. later kids the slice and dicer
| You should definitely play this game! It is so fun, especially if you sing badly like me and Simon and Randy call you tone deaf. The audience also boos you and Randy covers his ears. HILARIOUS! Although I did win a short American Idol competion, with the judging on easy mode, and I sang "Build Me Up Buttercup" each round. Anyway, I have yet another Super 8 annoyance to add to the current list: The discount seekers: These are people who don't have Triple A or AARP to get a discounted rate, so they use whatever they have in their wallet to see if they can get a better rate. I've had people ask about discounts for Sam's Club members, Wal-Mart card holders, and for some random organization for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts. I even had a guy who said he was a school teacher in Ohio in hopes of a discount. CRAZINESS. I think I'm going to start showing my library card at places to see if I get a discount. Teeheehee. That's all for now. the tomato dicer | | |
| Hey peoples! If you didn't know already, Our fave McNair Assistant, Vickie Hart, was involved in a pretty serious car accident yesterday. She is in stable condition at Princeton Community Hospital in Room 307 if you want to give her a call. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, the dicer | | |

And this...is Kameron!! Later kids!
| Happy New Year!! Sorry about the heading, I just finished watching the Gator Bowl and is still on the WV Moutaineer win high. I'll come down from it...eventually, but there is another high I am currently enjoying now as well and that high is off of a 9 pound 6 ounce 21 inch long nephew named Kameron Joseph. That's right kids, I'm an Auntie. He was born December 28 at 10:44 am. Killa Kam, as I like to call him, (if he grows up actually killing people I'll die) is one of the prettiest babies I've ever seen. But I guess everyone says that about a newborn, because you don't really see ugly babies. So, what else is new? I'm scheduled to take the GRE Jan. 12. Yeah that face is exactly how I feel. I took the practice test on the CD, and to say I did badly would be a complete understatement. I just suck at test-taking. I've been studying off and on since September and I still have no idea what I'm doing. My biggest problem? The time allotment. Especially in the Quantative section. By the time I actually remember how to work the problem and figure the problem out, I've lost five minutes. Not good. But oh well. I guess that's all for now, after all I am supposed to be working.
